Indian restaurant INDAY will be opening in the NoMad District mid 2015.

Kew Management is thrilled to announce that it has signed leases with two new restaurants: INDAY and a new project from LPB LLC.

Indian restaurant INDAY aims to reinvent the New York Indian cuisine experience. INDAY will use fresh, locally-sourced ingredients to make healthy renditions of traditional entrees in a sleek, modern atmosphere. INDAY’s lease for 1,530 square-feet in the historic St. James Building at 26th and Broadway, runs for 15 years. The space has 30 foot frontage and 18 foot-high ceilings. INDAY is planning for a mid-2015 opening.

LPB’s new restaurant will also take up shop in the St. James Building and plans to open in 2015. The format and menu of LPB’s restaurant is not yet known, but the space will occupy 2,244 square-feet of what was once the historic Havana Tobacco Company showroom designed by McKim, Mead and White.

Both restaurants will share the ground floor retail of the St. James with the relaunched Rizzoli Bookstore. Rizzoli’s bookstore has been a treasured part of New York City life for 50 years, and its reopening, planned for spring 2015,has generated a tremendous excitement.

Kew Management President Leslie Spira Lopez said of the deal with LPB, “We are delighted to be able to bring INDAY and LPB’s exciting restaurants to our corner retail space. We see these restaurants as perfect compliments to Rizzoli’s bookstore just next door, and we believe the superior quality of all of these retail tenants and their planned interiors will be worthy of the historic St. James. Their arrival will make a definitive difference for our tenants and the NoMad area.”
